Rehab Director – Central Region
As a pediatric occupational therapist I truly enjoy working with the children and the families that I meet every day. I graduated from Mount Mary College in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. I have worked with Rehab Resources for the past 17 years, providing services in both the clinic and home setting through the Birth to Three Program. I have completed continuing education course work in the areas of Sensory Integration (SI), Therapeutic Listening, Neuro-development treatment, handwriting and Pediatric Myofacial Release.
The team approach to treatment is important to me. Working closely with providers on the team including physical therapists, speech therapists, early childhood educators and families is a priority to providing the best treatment possible. Each child presents new challenges, and I am motivated to provide an individualized approach to treatment to meet their needs. I work hard to incorporate activities that are not only challenging but are motivating and fun for the child. It is my goal to provide parent education and help them to build the skills to continue to assist their child after therapy is over. Communication with families to identify areas of need for their child and to establish functional goals is also a goal during the course of treatment. I am grateful for all that I have learned from the many families and therapists that I have worked with and strive to continue my education in the field of occupational therapy to provide the best treatment possible.
I graduated from UW-Madison in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. I have 20 years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities with my primary focus being children ages birth to 3. I have taken several courses since graduation to continue my education including: kinesiotaping, gait mechanics, treatment of torticollis, adaptive equipment, and treatment with a ball. I have provided both group and individual aquatic therapy services. I am dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to each and every child and their family using research based techniques.
